PICTURE BOOK – CONTEMPORARY CIRCUS PERFORMANCE – PHYSICAL THEATRE – EXPERIMENTAL MUSIC
Creation 2025.

On the roadless expanses of modern society there is a Crow who wants to enter the world of people.
Strange, black, distorted madame Crow fights with her being so that she can live in the world that people live in.
She wants to read newspapers, she wants to drink a coffe and she want’s to ride the subways… She wants to be part of the world of people and she want’s to be a human, forgetting about the great freedom she has within herself.

This is a story about being an OUTSIDER – personal states and introspections and the relationship between the INDIVIDUAL and the SOCIAL, questioning personal values due to the norms that society imposes on us.
How to free yourself from these shackles and build yourself as a free and self aware being.

WHY CROW?
Choosing the crow as a specific animal, i.e. a bird whose character would be explored and inspired
by, is interesting because of its social symbolism.
The crow, as a bird that is very present in the city
world (the world of people), is often synonymous with outsiderness, but it is also a bird that,
according to scientific research, is very intelligent.
The thing that is also interesting about crow are
her authentic movements, very inspiring for processing in circus art and research of the animalistic-
human character.
Movement of the main character “crow”, would explore by using acrodance,
trapeze, dance and theater.
