Contemporary circus performance by Petra Najman “My Death and me” confronts the viewer with the reflections of young artist on the notion of LIFE and DEATH by using techniques of circus and pupperty.

To die – to fall aslee forever.
Die – disappear.
To die – to go into oblivion.
Die.
And meet a friend you’ve always been with,
Who loved you the most,
And whom you feared the most – your Death.
Death – love.
Death is an adventure.
Death – one end and one beginning.

“My intrigue is my mortality, the ultimate mystery of man and leaving this world forever.”
How to embrace the inevitability of death, one’s own mortal being?

Trough the show, the artist establishes a very close relationship with her partner on stage – death and thus tries to convey to the audience a very clear emotion in order to portray a death as necessity – an integral part of life, playng with grotesque, elements of horror, drama, comedy and parodies with her circus technique on trapeze prop.
The desire to meet death, fear, passion and anger are just some of emotions that interwine in the play through circus and puppetry techniques, building a unique performance narrative without words.
